Modular Autonomous Robot for Pipeline Inspection – SSUP India
At SRM Institute, Dr.R.Ambigai and her team are developing machine learning-based visual inspection techniques for crack detection on pipeline surfaces. Besides a circumferential scanning mechanism, the robot will feature a modularity-preserving 360-degree coverage mechanism of pipelines. To enhance safety and efficiency in pipeline maintenance, the operators will be able to monitor inspection results remotely via real-time data visualization.
